WHAT IS HUSKY CO.

HUSKY CO. is the collective of local businesses working together to support and strengthen the Huskisson district.

Formed to bring a more coordinated and collaborative approach to the town centre, HUSKY CO. focuses on creating a vibrant, welcoming and economically resilient place for both the local community and visitors.

It provides a shared platform for businesses to connect, collaborate and contribute to the future of Huskisson.

THE ROLE

HUSKY CO. plays an active role in shaping and supporting the local precinct through:

  • • Increasing visitation and encouraging longer stays
  • • Delivering events and activations that bring the town to life
  • • Strengthening the local economy and business community
  • • Building partnerships with government and industry
  • • Creating a more connected and cohesive town centre

The focus is practical and outcomes-driven, ensuring initiatives directly benefit local businesses and the broader community.

UPTOWN PROGRAM

HUSKY CO. is supported by the NSW Government's Uptown Program, an initiative designed to strengthen local centres by growing their daytime, evening and visitor economies.

The program provides funding and strategic support to help deliver coordinated place-based initiatives, including events, marketing and business engagement.

Through this program, Huskisson is able to invest in its local economy, build stronger connections across the business community and create a more vibrant and sustainable town centre.

THE COLLECTIVE

The collective is made up of local businesses, operators and stakeholders who are actively invested in the future of Huskisson.

It represents a cross-section of the town, including hospitality, retail, tourism, services and cultural organisations. Together, the collective brings local knowledge, experience and a shared commitment to strengthening the precinct.
